Project Terms
Last updated
These terms explain how we work together on a project, so you know what to expect before you sign. Your proposal and agreement set out the specifics for your project and take priority if anything differs.
On this page
01How a project runs
- Discovery call and questionnaire, so we understand your goals.
- Proposal with scope, timeline and price.
- Agreement signed and 50% deposit paid.
- Kickoff, then design, development, testing and launch, with your review at each stage.
- Balance paid, then handover and the warranty period.
02Scope
We deliver exactly what your proposal lists. Unless the proposal says otherwise, these are not included:
- Logos and brand identity.
- Copywriting, photography and video.
- Marketing, advertising and ongoing SEO campaigns.
- Third-party subscriptions and licences.
- Maintenance after the warranty period.
03Timelines
Timelines in a proposal are estimates. They start once we have the signed agreement, the deposit, and the content and access you need to provide. Delays in content, feedback or payment move the schedule by the same amount. Faster timelines are available for a rush fee.
04What we need from you
- Final content, images and brand assets by the dates agreed at kickoff.
- One point of contact who can approve work. Their approval is binding.
- Feedback within 3 business days of each review.
- Access to the accounts we need, such as domain, hosting and payment services.
- Confirmation that you own, or have licences for, everything you give us to use.
05Revisions
Every project includes 2 rounds of revisions at the design stage and 2 at the development stage. A revision is a change to work you have already seen, such as adjusting layout, copy, colour or spacing.
Please send each round as one consolidated message, so nothing is missed. Revisions beyond the included rounds are billed at our hourly rate.
06Change requests
New features, new pages or a change of direction are not revisions. We scope each one, confirm the added cost (billed at our hourly rate) and time in writing, and start only after you approve it by email.
07Communication
We work by email and WhatsApp, Monday to Friday during business hours (IST), and reply within one business day. Decisions and approvals are confirmed by email so there is a clear record.
08If a project goes quiet
If we do not hear from you for 14 days, we pause the project. When you are ready to continue, we reschedule it into our next available slot. No restart fee applies, but the launch date moves.
09Review, acceptance and handover
We share work for review on a private staging link. Work is accepted only when you confirm it in writing; we never treat silence as approval.
After the balance is paid we hand over the source code, design files, admin access and short documentation, transfer any accounts set up for the project, and remove our own access.
10Ownership
Once the project is paid in full, you own the custom designs, code and content we created for it. We keep ownership of the tools, components and know-how we reuse across projects, and grant you a permanent licence to use them as part of your project. Open-source and third-party parts stay under their own licences. Until full payment, all rights remain with Novier.
11Your customers’ data
If the project involves personal data of your customers or users, you stay in control of it. We work on your instructions, use test data wherever possible, keep data in accounts you own, and return or delete it within 30 days of handover. We sign a Data Processing Agreement on request. Our Privacy Policy has the details.
12Portfolio
We may show the finished project, with your name, in our portfolio and case studies. If you would rather we did not, tell us in writing before launch and we will keep it private.
13Confidentiality
We keep your non-public information confidential and use it only for your project, during the project and for 2 years after. We are happy to sign a mutual NDA before you share anything sensitive.
14Warranty and support
We fix bugs in the work we delivered, free of charge, if they are reported within 30 days of launch. The warranty does not cover changes made by others, new features, changes by third-party services, hosting problems or misuse.
After the warranty, optional monthly support plans cover updates, fixes and small changes. Ask us for a quote.
15Ending a project early
Either side can end a project with 7 days’ written notice. What is paid and refunded is set out in our Payment & Refund Policy. Ownership of delivered work transfers only once all amounts due are paid.
Questions about this page can be sent to hey@novier.in. We reply within one business day, Monday to Friday.
